Guest feedback you can act on, room by room

Moviegoers tell us what they noticed about a specific auditorium: the screen, the sound, a broken recliner, a room that ran cold. We route it to you with the room number and when it was seen, and we show guests what you did about it.

Questions before the movie starts

What can I do with the app?

Add upcoming movies, follow a live movie-night countdown, log actual start times, explore auditorium feedback, and report a screen or room issue even after you have left the theater.

Does the app cost anything?

No. It’s Starting! is free to download and free to use on iPhone, Android and the web.

How does the app know when the movie really starts?

Moviegoers log the actual time the movie begins. It’s Starting! uses the available reports to provide the best estimate it can for a theater, movie, chain, or auditorium. The information becomes more useful as more people contribute.

What happens when there is not enough data?

The app shows the best available information and indicates how much data supports it. Some results rely on broader averages while the community grows.

Is the estimated start time guaranteed?

No. Movie schedules and preshows can change. The app provides better information for planning, not a guaranteed movie start.

Do I have to complete a long survey?

No. After a visit, the app asks one quick question and you can stop there. You can also share a room issue later, without being at the theater.

Do I need to import a ticket?

No. You can share a ticket from your wallet*, scan a ticket or email screenshot from Photos, or enter the theater, movie, and showtime manually.

* Wallet share is only available on iOS.

Does the app tell me to arrive late?

No. It gives you more information so you can make your own decision: arrive for every trailer, skip part of the preshow, or use the estimate to plan parking and concessions. Every now and then a theater skips the trailer package entirely. We’re not on the hook for those decisions.

What information is collected from my ticket?

Ticket details are used to identify the movie, theater, date, and showtime. The app does not access payment-card information. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Built by a moviegoer

I wanted to know which theater was worth the trip.

I’m Mike, founder of It’s Starting! I built it because I wanted to know which theaters were worth the trip and which auditorium to choose once I got there. I wanted to find the best screens and sound, know about broken seats and other problems before booking, and have a better idea of when the movie would really start.

It’s Starting! brings that information together through start-time logs, room reports and seat reviews shared by moviegoers. If something feels off or you have an idea, I want to hear it.
